This month’s calendar brings together Australian and international events that support culture, inclusion, wellbeing, literacy, sustainability, safety and community connection. Highlights include Australian Wildlife Week, World Space Week, Navaratri, World Mental Health Day, National Nutrition Week, Children’s Week, National Water Week, Grandparents’ Day and Day for Daniel.
You do not need to recognise every date. Choose the events that best reflect your children, families, local community and service philosophy.

• Support wellbeing and inclusion through Mental Health Month, ADHD Awareness Month, Dyslexia Awareness Month, Queensland Mental Health Week, World Mental Health Day, World Sight Day and Loud Shirt Day.
• Explore Australian animals and habitats through Australian Wildlife Week, the Aussie Bird Count, Wombat Day and World Kangaroo Day. Follow children’s curiosity about the wildlife living near your service.
• Encourage discovery and environmental responsibility through World Space Week, World Habitat Day and National Water Week. Investigate children’s questions about space, communities and caring for water.
• Enjoy food exploration and shared learning through National Nutrition Week, World Food Day, World Egg Day, World Bread Day and World Pasta Day. Explore ingredients, family recipes and where food comes from.
