🎄 December – Celebrating culture, kindness and end-of-year reflections
December is a rich month for early learning services, full of chances to honour culture, shine a light on rights and inclusion, and celebrate the end of the year with children and families. From recognising #InternationalDayOfPersonsWithDisabilities to gathering together for #Christmas and #NewYearsEve, there are many meaningful ways to connect your program with your community.
This calendar is a practical planning tool for educators, supporting you to highlight key dates, design purposeful experiences, and invite families to collaborate in ways that reflect your service philosophy. You definitely don’t need to mark every event—simply choose the ones that best match your children, families and local community. 🌟
Available in A3 and A4 wall versions, plus an A4 list version, the calendar includes:
Links to EYLF V2.0 Learning Outcomes
Connections to the National Quality Standard
Space for family ideas and contributions
Room to add your own local events and celebrations
It’s a handy resource for strengthening Quality Area 1 – Educational Program and Practice and Quality Area 6 – Collaborative Partnerships with Families and Communities, while making those EYLF links visible in everyday practice.
