New to our Collection – Zones of Regulation Inspired ECEC Set
Learning Outcome 3: Children have a strong sense of wellbeing, with a focus on helping children become aware of and develop strategies to support their own mental health.
This Zones of Regulation inspired set has been designed especially for early childhood education and care settings and is suitable for children under 5 years of age. It provides a gentle, visual and play-based introduction to recognising emotions, naming feelings and exploring simple self-regulation strategies.
Inspired by the work of Leah Kuypers, MA Ed., OTR/L, this resource helps young children begin to understand that feelings can change throughout the day, and that there are safe and supportive ways to respond to those feelings.
Children can use the posters, hands, arrows, emotion cards and activity prompts to identify how they are feeling and choose an activity to help them feel calm, safe, ready or supported.
This set is ideal for use in calm corners, wellbeing spaces, group time discussions, room displays, behaviour support areas and everyday emotional learning.
